About Us

How we got our start.

We started managing water in Asheville in 2009 installing rain gardens for our clients as a method of setting up passive irrigation for landscapes, fruit trees and berry bushes. Eventually, we began to notice that after managing the water on our clients properties, they stopped having drainage issues, and their sump pumps stopped turning on during heavy rains. Our primary business focus continued to be sustainable and permaculture landscaping, and we continued to install rain cisterns and gardens.

In 2019, we rebranded as Asheville Drainage + Rain Harvesting and shifted the focus of our business specifically to drainage and rainwater harvesting. Since then, we’ve been refining our techniques as we focus both on residential and commercial drainage projects.

And our team.

We’re so proud of our installation crew. They work so hard every day taking care of our clients. We have a core crew, most of whom have been working with us for 2 or more years. In this landscaping field, having employee retention like that is unusual
